Matteo Angelino creates custom wall pieces, collectible design objects, and architectural elements in a distinctive concrete-based material language for private residences, luxury retail, and designer-led interiors.Based in Mendrisio, Switzerland, he is an artist and material creator known for sculptural works that connect collectible design, bespoke interiors, and architectural application. His practice is defined by depth, restraint, tactility, and a powerful sense of material character.Every project emerges through a dialogue between artistic intent, technical precision, and the spatial vision of the architect or interior designer.

Practice
Bespoke artistic works created for exceptional residences and highly refined architectural interiors.Focus
Wall pieces, collectible design objects, and architectural interventions defined by material presence, restraint, and a strong sense of space.Collaborators
Architects, interior designers, private collectors, and carefully selected project teams.

Each surface is developed in response to its setting, whether as a wall-mounted work, a functional object, or an integrated architectural element. When appropriate, the material is paired with metal, wood, glass, or other complementary components to achieve the right balance of form, performance, and refinement. The material language is defined by the tension between solidity and refinement. Surfaces may appear monolithic, yet reveal nuance through edge treatment, tonal shifts, texture density, and the way light moves across them.
A Refined Collaborative Process for Architects and Designers

Matteo collaborates closely with architects, interior designers, and project teams to translate design intent into materially resolved, highly customized pieces.

From early concept discussions to sampling, prototyping, detailing, and final production.
Each commission is approached with artistic judgment, fabrication knowledge, and practical accountability.

For over three decades, he has moved between art, master craftsmanship, and high-level architectural consultancy, contributing to bespoke private residences, luxury contract environments, and prestigious hospitality projects. His experience includes collaborations with internationally renowned Italian design brands, among them Fantini Rubinetti, with commissions in prime districts of Paris, Prague, and London, as well as in exceptional residential properties within Yellowstone Club and in the refurbishment of five-star palace hotels, including properties within the Dorchester Collection.

His experience further extends to some of the most prestigious residential addresses in the United States, where he has contributed to projects conceived by leading American architects across the East Coast, West Coast, and the Rockies.

Through a deeply collaborative approach, he gives form to each client’s vision through a single-source process in which artistic sensibility, material mastery, and technical precision converge to realize even the most ambitious commissions.

From the earliest conceptual sketch to full design-assist involvement, he addresses every critical dimension of a project, reconciling aesthetic vision, budget realities, regulatory requirements, and engineering complexity within a single, coherent process.

His aim is to bring aesthetic refinement and technical excellence into complete alignment, meeting every challenge with rigor to deliver uncompromising quality and enduring value.

As an artist and designer, Matteo brings a deeply personal level of commitment to every piece, with each work conceived and crafted individually through a process of care, refinement, and devotion to detail.

Acting as a single source, he assumes full accountability for the realization of each project, with every decision directed by the client’s schedule and upheld by a disciplined commitment to timely delivery.

In every meticulously executed installation, he ensures that the final result reflects precision, discipline, and his enduring commitment to collaborative excellence.
